We recommend that you carefully read the registration terms before filling in the registration form and that you have a credit card ready for the hotel reservation and/or payment for the conference. This electronic transaction is secure, and your credit card information is encrypted during the registration process. Please note that our payment service is connected to the international bank security cooperation 3D Secure (Verified by Visa/MasterCard Secure Code).
Hotel rates and room availability can only be guaranteed, within the capacity of the blocked sections at the two conference hotels, if your booking is made by August 14. The hotel rooms are allocated on a first come – first served basis: if your choice of arrival/departure dates and room type and hotel name is not available in the drop-down menus, then it is sold out, but you may book the closest match of your preferences and write your remaining requests into the “other requirements” field, and a solution will be sought (but cannot be guaranteed), though this may mean changing hotels during your stay. The organisers do not give a best-rate guarantee for the conference hotels, but right now the conference rates at those hotels seem impossible to beat. If all fails, then you are advised to use one of the many internet sites for booking a hotel room.
Registration and hotel booking (at the conference rate) must be completed in the same step: the registration site has no hotel-only option for already registered participants.

The registration fee for “Workshops and conference” includes: Access to the scientific programme, e-proceedings, coffee/tea, Reception on Sept 17, City walk on Sept 19 and Conference dinner on Sept 19. (Lunches not included.) Optional choice: You can upgrade the e-proceedings into printed proceedings against a surcharge of SEK 212 (including 6% VAT); this option is only available until the early registration deadline.
The registration fee for “accompanying persons” includes: Reception on Sept 17, City walk on Sept 19 and Conference dinner on Sept 19. (Lunches not included.)
Payment must be made in advance of the conference.
Delegates based in Sweden
Delegates based in Sweden can choose to pay either by credit card or by invoice. If you choose to pay by invoice an administrative fee of SEK 100 will be added. You will receive your invoice by regular mail. If you like your invoice to be sent as a pdf attachment by e-mail, please unmark the tick box on the payment page of the registration form. VAT will be added according to Swedish legislation and routines.
Delegates from outside Sweden
- According to Swedish legislation and routines, VAT will be added also for delegates from outside Sweden.
- All payments must be made in SEK (Swedish krona)
- Payment should be made by credit card or by bank transfer
- Upon choice of payment method "Bank transfer" on the registration form, you will receive an invoice together with your confirmation letter, including bank transfer information such as bank account, IBAN, etc. Confirmation letter and invoice will be sent as pdf attachments by e-mail.
- Please note that we accept the following credit cards: VISA, Master Card and American Express (Our University does not accept VISA Electron or Maestro). The Internet credit card service provider does sometimes have trouble with Safari. We recommend the web browser Firefox with Mac OS.
- We will not accept any bank charge deductions
- Unfortunately, we cannot accept payment by bank cheques or euro cheques.
Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation of Registration
Notification of cancellation must be made in writing and sent to Akademikonferens, the conference secretariat. Cancellation of registration will be accepted until August 8, up to which date the total amount will be refunded minus SEK 750 for cancellation fee. We regret that no refunds or reductions of fees will be accepted for cancellations made after August 8, nor for no-shows for any reasons.
Cancellation of Hotel Reservation
Notification of cancellation must be made in writing and sent to Akademikonferens, the conference secretariat. Cancellation of any hotel reservation will be accepted until 14 days prior to arrival. If cancellation is received later than this date, or in case of no-show, the hotel will charge your credit card for the whole stay reserved.
Change of Name (for already registered participants)
If you have already registered but you are unable to attend, you will be given the opportunity to send a colleague in your place. Please contact the conference secretariat as soon as possible. An administration fee of SEK 250 will be charged.
