Dear ACP members,

As decided during the ACP general assembly at CP 2018 in Lille, the ACP set up a working group to examine the issue of moving the CP proceedings and/or Constraints journal from Springer LNCS to another publisher or form of publishing.

After a significant amount of data collection and discussion the group has produced a document with an in-depth discussion of the pros and cons of such a move, together with several proposals. I would like to congratulate everyone involved for the high quality of the document produced and, in particular, Eugene Freuder and Yves Deville who coordinated the writing of the report for the two main positions.

The document is available here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/6tbrgqtto5ry5jl/ACP%20Publishing%20Policy.pdf?...

The document will be discussed at the upcoming ACP general assembly at CP 2019, where the two main proposals will be presented to and discussed by the community, and a timetable will be set up for action. Given the importance and the potentially long-lasting consequences of the choice, I would highly encourage you to please read the document and discuss it with your colleagues in preparation for the assembly.

Regards,

Maria Garcia de la Banda
President of the ACP
